Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins (born in Mexico) is the Mexican American broadcaster. Her current role is a sportscaster for ESPN, working as anchor for SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. She joined ESPN in 2016. The child of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is bilingual since her age of nine. Her skills were instrumental in helping her land her first job as a producer assistant at Univision Miami, where she was a producer of numerous shows, including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. When she was in St. Petersburg, she was later hired to the CBS station to work as an sports reporter. In 2009 she relocated to Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she became a news correspondent for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Covering stories related to drugs and immigration issues across the border of Mexico and Texas. border, she was reporter for news for KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 from 5 pm. It was the same role in Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo for the UniMas Network. Antonietta's parents are from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved to Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November 1985. She also has a younger sibling. She is the older sister. The couple divorced shortly after and her mother was remarried to an architect from the naval profession known as Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. The holiday in the summer that she lived with her sister living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl was offered an employment. At the time of her senior year at high school, but with a clear idea about what she wanted to pursue in her future, Antonietta visited her local University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her needs. The campus was a dream for her. The university also provided her with the degree she wanted. After graduation, she enrolled at the university with a media studies major. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor for WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a member. Mark Bergmann inspired her to be self-confident and his passion in journalism was a huge influence on her. She, determined to fulfill the expectations of him and not failed him.
